Whatever the name on the jacket, the job is the same Annual Tune-Up, with no mandatory oil delivery contract.
Common in farmhouses, capes and older New Englanders. The tune-up clears soot from the heat exchanger and checks the blower so warm air keeps moving.
Hot water baseboard and radiator systems, often with a tankless coil or indirect water heater. Max checks the coil, aquastat and relief valve along the way.
The burner is the heart of the tune-up: new nozzle, clean pump strainer, fresh filter, and a combustion test to set the air for a clean flame.

Most units have a rating plate or sticker with the manufacturer and model. On a warm air furnace, it’s usually on the cabinet or just inside the front access panel. On a boiler, look on the side of the jacket. The oil burner, the part bolted to the front with the motor and the transformer, has its own label with its brand.
You don’t need to know any of this to book. If you do have it handy, add the brand and model in the notes on the request form so Max knows what to expect.
